Among the monsters ?

No, there is no monster here. It was at the 'Kemilau Nusantara carnaval 2008' ago in Bandung West Java, Indonesia. They were came from different group participant. The girl from a group of beautiful traditional dancer, and the others from a group of men with dry mud on whole of their body wich was show to their concern to the earth. The striking differences of both was very interesting. I shout out to the groups why don't we try to combine the girl and the 'monsters'. And they did it.

Almost one year ago when me and a friend visiting there. Courtyard, an old building with a simple java decoration, the palace collection was unforgotten. Noisy souvenir vendors but still respect the visitors personal boundaries add my tribute to the local culture that upheld hereditary. Suddenly, I miss you... Djogja.

My Buskers Restless

A pantomimic man was performing a romatic schene at pedestrian area near the MBK Center Bangkok August 2009. Nowadays in Indonesia, street performance (busking) is a phenomena because the performer growth. Since busking is the practise of performing in public places for tips and gratuities (Busking on wiki), i ever wondered what kind of performance they offerred, what entertainment that can be use as fairly exchange with the tips —they wanted of course, what the feeling they want to be grown to the audience. It's so different with my mind to him. So this picture makes me restless.

Atmosphere

I rediscovered old Malays atmosphere when standing there. Traditional coffee shop, wooden benchs, black coffee cups, clothes, old-fashioned television set, a poster of the King of Dangdut, and the dull walls were brought me to the 80s and making out with memories of past for a while. This photo was taken on last year (2009) at a traditional coffee shop wich used for filming a movies. A film must be able to bring a real atmosphere in accordance with the story that brought. And standing there was unforgettable.

Heritage Transportation

It was a cloudy morning when i met that white bridge. Some boats passing underneath creating growing water wave aside. It was amazing for me to saw it in the middle of Bangkok, Thailand last year. Altough the water was blackish, i didn't find any trash, neither in this water bus stop. I think Bangkok sucessfully maintain their heritage transportations until now. Hopefully someday Jakarta or other big cities in Indonesia can do it too to fullfill mobility needs of its residents.

It was a quite sweet room when i entered in the room where she sang many interesting songs at Java Jazz 2010. The vocal is very good in my ears, she plays well in high tone, low tone, and all other tone. i really agree if she claimed the best female jazz singer to come along since the mid-1950s, successor to Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. So now, i should find her CDs.

With bright colors and tempting shapes, this plane toy attracting not only children, even adults like it. Unfortunately, these toys are imported goods that are sold by big hardware stores in Indonesia. With current conditions here, to produce good quality becomes a dilemma. Implementation of some multinational trade agreements create a more vigorous competition. Which means that local producers are faced with the challenge to be better than the imported goods wich is more easily entered. The otherwise, this fenomena gives costumer flexibility to choose. The best quality will be standing last. With their best price of course. So our local producent must be ready to fly higher.

Besides showing famous jazz musicians, NGayogjazz 2009 was attended by Volk Wagon community with their unique car. It was an example of very interesting community synergy.
